Traditional Chinese Medicine - Acupuncture in Geneva
For a comprehensive and structured approach to health
The human body is exposed daily to multiple physical, emotional and environmental stressors, which may affect its functional balance.
Within this context, the Chinamedic Clinic Center offers individualised and comprehensive therapeutic management, grounded in advanced expertise in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and acupuncture, and integrated within a rigorous clinical framework.
With more than twenty-five years of clinical practice and a specialised academic background, the clinic applies an integrative, structured and targeted approach, adapted to each individual clinical situation.
Acupuncture: a precise and well-established therapeutic modality
Acupuncture, originating from Traditional Chinese Medicine, involves the stimulation of specific anatomical points using fine needles, with the objective of restoring functional balance and supporting the body’s self-regulatory mechanisms.
Practised within a strict medical and scientific framework, acupuncture is based on a thorough clinical assessment and the development of a structured therapeutic strategy.
It is now widely used in the management of numerous acute and chronic conditions, in conjunction with conventional medical approaches.
Clinical applications
Acupuncture may be indicated in the management of:
acute and chronic pain,
digestive and functional disorders,
sleep disturbances,
fertility support,
weight regulation and metabolic strategies,
conditions related to stress, anxiety, burnout, or emotional imbalances.
An integrative medical approach
As an integrative medical discipline, acupuncture is positioned as a relevant complement to conventional treatments, without replacing them.
It addresses several major challenges in contemporary healthcare, including ageing, chronic diseases, overweight and metabolic imbalance, functional disorders, and stress associated with modern lifestyles.
Safety and therapeutic compatibility
When practised by an experienced professional, acupuncture is a well-tolerated therapeutic modality, compatible with pharmacological treatments, and integrated into a global therapeutic management strategy.
Each therapeutic intervention is tailored to the patient’s profile, medical context, and ongoing treatments, in accordance with clinical safety and professional standards.
🩺 Scope of Practice and Regulatory Framework
Scope of Practice and Regulatory Framework
The Chinamedic Clinic Center practises Traditional Chinese Medicine and complementary medical approaches within a strictly private clinical setting, and exclusively with informed and consenting patients.
Within this framework, and when clinically justified, biological tests or complementary assessments may be suggested in order to refine clinical evaluation and therapeutic management.
Such requests do not constitute medical prescriptions under FMH regulations.
Specificity of Analyses and Their Interpretation
The biological analyses and complementary assessments used within the clinic’s practice are interpreted through a specialised clinical framework, integrating functional, energetic and pathophysiological approaches specific to Traditional Chinese Medicine and integrative medicine.
As such, the nature of the tests requested, their interpretation, and their clinical application may differ from those typically requested or interpreted within a conventional medical practice.
This specificity is based on advanced university-level training, validated by specialised diplomas, and on long-standing clinical experience in the application of biological assessments within complementary medicine.
Biological Analyses and Insurance Coverage
The financial coverage of biological analyses depends exclusively on the patient’s insurance policy.
Each insurer applies its own evaluation and reimbursement criteria, independently of the clinical or therapeutic relevance of the examinations performed.
The clinic cannot guarantee any reimbursement and cannot be held liable for any refusal of coverage by an insurance provider, under any circumstances.
Patients for whom insurance reimbursement is a determining factor are advised to consult an FMH-certified physician for any medical prescription, and subsequently return to the clinic for interpretation of results and complementary therapeutic management.
Interpretation and Clinical Follow-Up
All analysis results and assessments are subject to a systematic and in-depth clinical review, the preparation of a detailed written clinical report, and, where appropriate, a dedicated consultation.
These services are billed in accordance with the clinic’s standard consultation fees.
No interpretation, synthesis, or reporting is provided free of charge.
